Jim Goldy, his wife Laurie, and two children Mark and Michelle moved to Alabama from California in 2002. He became a deacon in 2007, then became an elder in 2009. Mark was married in 2010 to his wife Erica. Jim loves the outdoors especially on the Tennessee river. Jim's favorite scripture is Philippians 4:9 "the things which you learned and received and heard and saw in Me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you." His favorite quote "when life gets too hard to stand... kneel."
Louis and Betty have attended Petersville since returning to North Alabama in 2002. Louis was appointed as an elder during 2006. He had served as an elder at College Ave. in Enterprise, AL for ten years before moving back to the Shoals area. Louis is a graduate of Coffee High School and Florence State College. He received an MBA from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Louis is retired from the U.S. Army and from Dyn Corp Inc. Louis and Betty have made nine mission trips to Ukraine and Romania where they assisted in establishing several churches. They have two children and six grand children. Both enjoy fishing, camping, and grand children!

Garry has lived in Florence, Alabama all of his life. He and his family were faithful members of the Jackson Heights church of Christ, were he grew up among some great people- including their elders, who had a tremendous influence on him during his early life. He graduated from Coffee High School and then from the University of North Alabama, with a double major in Marketing and Management. He began working at Milner-Rushing Drugs during his senior year of high school (1981), where he remains as a Respiratory Therapist. While attending UNA he was president of the Christian Student Center, where he met Sherry (May), his wife. They were married in 1987 and they began working with some awesome teens during the early years of their marriage. In 1997, their son Joshua was born and made their family complete. They have been members at Petersville since 1993, serving as Youth Director (1994-1997), Educational Director (2004-2014), and Deacon (2004-2014). He was appointed an elder in August of 2014. He enjoys antique cars, Alabama football, and spending time with his family. His favorite food is peanut butter- which he calls 'life-saving food.' His favorite Bible verse comes from Philippians 2:3-4 "Let nothing be done thorugh selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind, let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."
Bob has attended Petersville Church of Christ since 1980 and served as elder since 1988. As a youth he enjoyed building things, playing backyard sports and helping maintain his parents' cars. He attended schools in Tuscumbia, graduated from Deshler High School. He attended Florence State College for three years, joined the U.S. Army, serving in South Korea, and in the U.S. A.
He married Betty McClure in 1971. He was employed by TVA. He attended UNA. He served 19 years in the Alabama Army National Guard. While working at TVA, Betty and he operated a convenience store for 18 years. They have two children [Gordon (Nikki), and Allison (David)]. They have four grandchildren (two boys and two girls).
Bob was baptized in 1975 by Ed Smith at the Stony Point Church of Christ. He has served as an Elder at Petersville Church of Christ with Sam Blackmon, Jerry Alexander, Ken McFall, Charles Watkins, Jerry South, Coy Gray, Gene McDaniel, Gene Rogers, Frank Winters, Terry Oakley, Jim Goldy, Louis McAdams, and Garry Pannell.
Hobbies: grandkids and their ballgames, bicycles, scooters, reading, driving a Ford Model T and several Model A’s, and Hudsons.
His Favorite Verse is Psalm 100.
He has made three mission trips to Mexico(2001, 2002, 2003) with the Petersville Church of Christ.
Terry has attended the Petersville congregation since it was established in June of 1980. He has served as an elder for 13 years. He married Marsha in 1982 and they have 3 sons: Jonathan (Emily), Eric (Sarah), and Austen. They have been blessed with 3 grandchildren- Lily, Silas, and Denton. Terry has worked for Alfa Insurance for 28 years as an agent. He loves spending time with family, helping others and going on mission trips. His favorite passage in Scripture is Joshua 24:15
