 James W. Farris was hired as the pulpit minister for the Petersville church of Christ in July 2004. James grew up in Ashland City, Tennessee. He is a fourth generation Gospel Preacher who began preaching when he was 18 years old. James is married to Priscilla and they have five sons. (Andrew 14, Timothy 12, Isaac 8, Joseph 4 and Luke 1) James received his A.A. and B.A. in Bible from Heritage Christian University and his M.S. in Biblical Ministry from Southern Christian University. He has done continued graduate work at Freed-Hardeman University, Harding Graduate School of Religion, Lubbock Christian University and Faulkner University. James has preached over 50 Gospel Meetings and continues to speak in various Gospel Meetings, lectureships, youth r allies and workshops each year.
James writes: “Jesus declared that His followers are the “Light of the World.” (Mt. 5:14) When His people take the personal initiative to fulfill their commitment to their Lord, the world cannot help but to see Christ living in us. (Galatians 2:20) My personal philosophy is simple and is taken from a single passage written by Paul, “Preach the Word.” (2 Timothy 4:2) The ills of humanity and the disunity among well-intentioned people can be cured when we follow this simple admonition. As we embark upon the future together, it is my hope and prayer that we develop a deeper appreciation for the application of God’s Word to the real-life situations we face and combine our talents and abilities with one another for the same intention, purpose and religious goals. May we glorify God and lift one another up as we unashamedly preach the Gospel to the lost of this world.”

 Dustin Culberson grew up in Hohenwald, TN and attended Freed Hardeman University. There he earned a Bachelors degree in Youth Ministry in May 2008. While at Freed Hardeman, Dustin met his wife, Faith Hutton, while she was pursing a degree in Child and Family studies and social work. Dustin graduated in May 2008, and came to work for us in that same month. He and Faith were married also in the month of May of this year. Dustin and Faith have done a wonderful job with our youth since coming on board to work with Petersville. Dustin is on fire and conscientious regarding his work for the Lord.
